FAQ

Questions we get

Short answers about the work, the paperwork and getting a quote. If yours isn't here, call and ask.

The work

What parts of Brevard County do you work in?

All of it. Our yard is in Cocoa, and we take jobs from Mims and Titusville in the north, through Merritt Island, Rockledge and Viera, down to Melbourne and Palm Bay. If your land is outside the county, call and ask. The service areas page has more.

What kind of jobs do you take?
Do you deliver fill dirt and millings?

Yes, in our own dump trucks. Fill dirt goes into low spots, raised lots and building pads. Asphalt millings are ground-up old asphalt, and people use them to surface driveways. Tell us what it's for and roughly how much ground it has to cover, and we'll help you work out the loads.

Can you build a house pad?

Yes. We clear the lot, bring in the fill and build the pad up, then grade it and pack it with a roller compactor. Have your house plans or your builder's site plan ready so the pad matches what's going on it. See building pads.

Do you haul the debris away?

Yes. When we clear land, we haul the debris off in our own trucks. On some underbrush jobs the brush gets mulched in place instead. Tell us which you'd rather have.

Before we start

Do I need a permit to clear my land?

It depends on where the land is and how much is being cleared. Brevard County, Palm Bay and each of the other cities have their own rules. Check with the permit office for your address before work starts, and if you're building, ask your builder what's already been filed.

What if there's a gopher tortoise burrow on the lot?

Tell us before we start, and leave the burrow alone. Gopher tortoises are protected in Florida, and FWC has rules about work near their burrows (FWC gopher tortoise rules). Depending on where the burrow is, the job may need a plan or a permit first.

What should I have ready when I call?

The address or parcel ID, roughly how big the area is, what's growing on it and what you want it ready for. If you're building, have your plans or site plan handy. For a delivery, know where the truck can get in and where you want the load dumped.

Quotes and hours

How do I get a quote?

Call (321) 638-4636 or request a quote online. We'll usually want to see the land, or photos of it, before we give you a number. The growth, the stumps, the haul-off and the fill all change the job.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. We're closed Saturday and Sunday. You can send the quote form any time, and we'll call you back during business hours.
