  • Harrack Trucking and Land Clearing exceeded my expectations in every way. Patrick, the owner, is a true professional who takes genuine pride in his locally-owned business. His company is built on good old-fashioned values and work ethic. His team tackled our complex clearing project with incredible skill, finishing ahead of schedule while being careful and precise. They left our property spotless, and their pricing was completely fair. It's refreshing to work with a local business that treats you like a neighbor rather than just another client. Would absolutely recommend their services to anyone needing quality land clearing or trucking work done. A+ service from a great local company!

  • Harrack far exceeded my expectations! I had a few personal delays before starting my project, but Patrick (the owner) was incredibly patient and professional throughout the process. He checked in just enough to let me know he cared without ever making me feel pressured so when I was finally ready, everything moved seamlessly. My project was all about the dirt, and the quality was exceptional. The delivery driver, Miami Mike, was fantastic, friendly, on time, and clearly experienced. From start to finish, the service was smooth, professional, and customer-focused. I highly recommend Harrack for anyone looking for top-quality materials and a team that truly takes pride in their work!

How it works

How a job goes

Call (321) 638-4636 during business hours, or send the quote form any time.

  1. Call or send the form

Tell us where the property is, what's on it now and what you want when we're done. A parcel ID works if the lot has no address yet.

  2. We talk through the job

Call or send a request and we'll talk through the job. We'll usually want to see the land, or photos of it, before we give you a number. For a fill or millings delivery, we'll ask what it's for and where the truck can dump.

  3. Pick a date

Once the quote works for you, we put the job on the schedule.

  4. We do the work and clean up

Our trucks and machines clear, haul the debris off, deliver the fill or millings, and build and grade the pad. We clean up before we leave.

From wooded lot to finished pad

A lot going from pines and palmetto to a house pad takes several jobs in a row. The land gets cleared and the debris hauled off. Then fill dirt comes in and gets built up into a pad. Last, the pad is graded and packed with a roller.

We do those steps with our own equipment. The dozer that shapes the pad, the truck that brings the fill and the roller that packs it are all Harrack's. If you have house plans or a site plan from your builder, keep them handy when you call.

Fill dirt and millings, delivered

Not every call is a clearing job. Plenty of people just need dirt. We deliver fill dirt by the truckload for low spots, raising a lot and building pads, and asphalt millings for driveways.

Tell us what the dirt is for and about how much ground it has to cover. We'll talk through which material makes sense and how many loads it takes. Then show us where the truck can get in and where you want it dumped.

Clearing under the oaks

Some yards don't need a full clear. The palmetto and brush come out from under the live oaks, the trees stay, and you get open ground back. That's underbrush clearing. Depending on the job, the brush gets hauled off or mulched in place, and you'll see a couple of those yards in our job photos.

Before the machines roll in

Clearing rules depend on where the land is. Brevard County, Palm Bay and the other cities each write their own, so check with the permit office for your address before work starts. If you're building, ask your builder what's already been filed.

Seen a gopher tortoise burrow on the property? Mention it when you call. Gopher tortoises are protected in Florida, and FWC has rules about work near their burrows (FWC). A burrow can change what gets done and when, so it's better to know before the first tree comes down.

Guides

Worth reading before the trucks show up

Short guides for Brevard property owners getting land ready to build.

  1. How a Pad Gets BuiltClear, haul off, fill, compact in lifts, grade: the order a pad gets built in, and where its height comes from.
  2. Fill, Millings or TopsoilWhat fill dirt, clean fill, asphalt millings and topsoil are each for, and what to tell us when you order.
  3. Before Clearing DayPermits, gopher tortoise burrows, trees to keep, 811 locates and truck access, sorted before the machines arrive.

Questions people ask

What parts of Brevard do you work in?

All of Brevard County. We're based in Cocoa and take jobs from Mims and Titusville down to Melbourne and Palm Bay, with Merritt Island, Rockledge and Viera in between. The service areas page has more.

Do you deliver fill dirt?

Yes, in our own dump trucks. We deliver asphalt millings too. Tell us what it's for and roughly how much area it has to cover, and we'll help you work out the loads.

Can you clear a lot and build the pad too?

Yes. We clear the lot, haul off the debris, bring in the fill, then build, grade and compact the pad. See building pads.
